Registered Manager

Helen Hunter serves as the Registered Manager for Ellie Bee House, bringing over nine years of direct experience in children’s residential care, particularly supporting children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

Throughout her career, Helen has progressed through a range of leadership roles, including Senior Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, and Area Manager. Her extensive experience has developed strong expertise in safeguarding, operational management, staff leadership, and maintaining high standards of care.

Helen has held responsibility for the day-to-day running of children’s homes, ensuring statutory compliance, identifying and managing emerging risks, and creating safe, structured, and nurturing environments for young people. She has successfully led, motivated, and supported staff teams while maintaining clear accountability across the services she manages.

As Registered Manager, Helen ensures that Ellie Bee House operates in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards. She oversees safeguarding, care planning, staff development, risk management, and partnership working with families and external professionals.

Helen holds a Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care and a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management. Her professional, organised, and values-driven approach ensures that Ellie Bee House provides safe, ethical, child-centred, and aspirational care.
